AVATAR 3D Blu-Ray DVD Available Now!
AVATAR is now available in 3D on Blu-ray! What? Yes, that's right – if you buy a Panasonic 3D TV starting Dec. 1 you'll get AVATAR in 3D bundled with it in the Panasonic 3D Ultimate Pack. Fox gave Panasonic an exclusive license to include the 3D Blu-ray of AVATAR with sales of its 3D TVs starting Dec 1st.
As first reported by TWICE:
At launch, running through an undisclosed period of time, the disc will only be available to consumers who purchase a Panasonic 3D Viera plasma TV. The promotional offer will likely take the form of a variety of bundles onto the purchase of Viera 3D TVs and related equipment, although exact details are still to be announced, the company said.
TVs include the TC-PVT20/25 series, which has been available starting in April, and the recently announced TC-PGT25 series. Current owners of Panasonic 3D TVs will also be able to claim a copy of the 3D Blu-Ray disc for free. More details here. If you don't want a new set to get Avatar in Blu-ray 3D you can also buy the 3D Full HD Ultimate Pack separately for $399.95. And if you already own a 3D TV, check out James Cameron's recommended settings for watching Avatar in 3D.
